Meta Pixel Inspector

Meta Pixel Inspector

Enter a Meta Pixel ID, a GTM container or any website to read the pixel’s live configuration: codeless event rules, advanced matching, the Conversions API Gateway and cookies, with a score and a list of fixes.

Lookups read only the public configuration Meta serves to every browser that loads the pixel. No login, nothing installed, nothing stored.

About the Meta Pixel Inspector

Meta Pixel Inspector is a free web tool from Starluxe Tech that reads the public configuration Meta serves for any Facebook/Meta Pixel: codeless Event Setup Tool rules, automatic advanced matching keys, the Conversions API Gateway, first-party cookies and data filters, then scores the setup and lists what to fix.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the Meta Pixel ID on a website?

Enter the website address. The inspector looks for the pixel in the page code and inside its Google Tag Manager container, including pixels chosen from a GTM lookup table, and confirms each ID with Meta.

How is this different from the Meta Pixel Helper extension?

Pixel Helper shows the events fired on the page you are viewing. This reads the pixel’s configuration from Meta: codeless rules, matching keys, Conversions API Gateway and filters that apply on every page, with no extension to install.

Can I see another site’s Conversions API setup?

Only a Conversions API Gateway, because it is part of the public pixel configuration. A direct Conversions API integration runs on the site’s server and is not visible from outside.

Do I need access to Events Manager?

No. The configuration is public: it is the same file every visitor’s browser downloads. No login, nothing installed, and nothing is stored.

Why is a Purchase rule on a button click a problem?

A click is not a completed order. Codeless Purchase rules fire on every click of that button, overstate purchases and ROAS, and usually send no order value. Purchase should come from the order confirmation with value, currency and an event ID.
